Title: 落花成泥 – Falling Flowers Turn to Mud
Singer: 鞠婧祎 – Ju Jingyi
Series: 《芸汐传》推广曲 – Legend of Yun Xi (promo song)

Composer/Songwriter: 墨明棋妙 – Clear Ink, Fine Chess
Lyricist: 郭德紫毅 – Guo De Zi Yi

Lyrics (rough translation):

The moon is round, the winds are light, scattering the agalloch eaglewood,
As it gently shut the doors
Taking a portion of Chinese angelica to place in the medical decoction
Tears from pining with love for you uses teasel root to heal the mind and heart

Two twists of Chinese knotweed on the paper
Enhanced with fine strains of yellow millet
Pinellia tubers upon the new moon that shines upon climbing groundsel,
Parting with the gentleman in a vast and boundless [space]

The soldiers leave without returning, love waits until the next life to go on
Entering the battle, the lord performs with no exceptions1
As the lampwick burns to the very end and goes out
A bowl of fennel exists alone, a soup of intimate understandings
May the lord please come have a taste

The great rains pour and blur one’s sight
But gives clarity to the past
For the lord, shall I play that melody once more this evening dusk?
The miraculous hands of a healer are hard-pressed to reverse a doomed destiny
The great rains pour, steeped in past memories
No medicine can cure partings filled with hate

The Heavens forbade that the humans love, like clouds they all disperse
Leaving the bright moon to sigh
Devoting one’s care to writing down the final medicinal prescription
Slowly and gradually offering it up
Foolishly looking in your direction
Wondering if you think the same way

The soldiers leave without returning, love waits until the next life to go on
Entering the battle, the lord performs with no exceptions
As the lampwick burns to the very end and goes out
A bowl of fennel exists alone, a soup of intimate understandings
May the lord please come have a taste

The great rains pour and blur one’s sight
But gives clarity to the past
For the lord, shall I play that melody once more this evening dusk?
The miraculous hands of a healer are hard-pressed to reverse a doomed destiny
The great rains pour, steeped in past memories
No medicine can cure partings filled with hate

The Heavens forbade that the humans love, like clouds they all disperse
Leaving the bright moon to sigh
The night wind too, is cold and dismal, as the falling flowers turn to mud
Even the sound of the rain will soften
Sing once more this evening dusk, a lonely cup and a solitary figure
What else can one pining with unfulfilled love do?

Hear the wind searching while wallowing in memories
In vain until strands of white hairs appear
Missing you dearly, many years pass by
Yet still I can
Remember everything from the past

The great rains pour and blur one’s sight
But gives clarity to the past
For the lord, shall I play that melody once more this evening dusk?
The miraculous hands of a healer are hard-pressed to reverse a doomed destiny
The great rains pour, steeped in past memories
No medicine can cure partings filled with hate

The Heavens forbade that the humans love, like clouds they all disperse
Leaving the bright moon to sigh.
